Injuries are the leading cause of death in Australian children aged one to 14 and many of these deaths and injuries can be prevented. Kidsafe WA works in the community to educate and inform parents and children on staying safe at home, at play and on the road.
While farms present kids with an amazing lifestyle of wide-open spaces to explore, they remain a high-risk setting for childhood injuries and fatalities, with young adolescent children being most at risk as they become more involved in farming activities.
