FOR Regional Development Officer Angela Tarbottom, Lisa's impact was obvious from day one.

"When I joined, I needed to get up to speed quickly, and Lisa somehow managed to mentor me while still keeping everything else moving," Angela says.

"Looking back, I honestly don't know how she managed it all."

As Regional Support Officer, Lisa's role spans everything from project coordination and reporting to stakeholder engagement and grower support.

Over the past year, she has played a key role in the delivery of workshops, roadshows and industry projects across Western Australia, while also helping ensure the day-to-day operations of the VegNET program continue to run smoothly.

One of Lisa's biggest contributions has been improving vegetablesWA's CRM system. While not always the most visible work, the systems and processes she has put in place are creating a stronger foundation for future projects and industry engagement.

According to Angela, it's Lisa's ability to combine organisation with a genuine commitment to people that makes her so effective.

"She genuinely listens," she says.

"She understands the challenges people are facing and immediately starts thinking about how we can help."

That approach has helped strengthen relationships across the industry and within the organisation itself. It has also helped build a strong partnership between Angela and Lisa, with the pair working closely together to support growers and deliver outcomes through the VegNET program.

As Lisa celebrates her first year with vegetablesWA, it's a chance to recognise the steady contribution she makes every day, often without fanfare. Through her support, organisation and commitment to the industry, she's helped strengthen both the VegNET program and the team around her.
