“A Singaporebased agtech supplier, Aerospring Hydroponics, is claiming its vertical growing systems for leafy greens are producing up to 30 per cent greater yields, are three times faster growing compared to traditional farming methods and use 90 per cent less water. “We have a viable, low-cost alternative for farmers to increase their output in a relatively small space,” says Mark Newton, chief operating officer at Aerospring Hydroponics. “Our aeroponic, vertical systems can deliver up to 10 times more produce than a conventional farm of the same size.” The vertical growing systems can be used in an outdoor environment or a greenhouse and do not require heavy electricity expenditures. The system is being rolled out across Asia (South East Asia and India) and Australia throughout 2024. Read more at aerospringhydropondics.com.
