Don’t get STUNG

Citrus gall wasp is still a concern, so stay vigilant to ensure it doesn’t establish in your orchard.

Residents and businesses in commercial citrus production regions throughout WA received a flyer (see flyer below) in early September asking them to take action to prevent the spread and establishment of citrus gall wasp. The mailout is part of a levyfunded activity aimed at slowing the movement of this pest into commercial orchards while better management options are identified. Recipients have been asked to report findings of citrus gall wasp and to control the pest so that it doesn’t become established in their region. Local governments, regional groups and nurseries also received the information. Updates on the progress of this activity will be included in future issues of the WA Grower.
