The WA Stonefruit committee engaged John Carlson for the development of the new strategic plan for WA Stonefruit in late September 2023.

John Carlson has come to the table with great deal of wealth of experience in the corporate world internationally and nationally.

John has interviewed a number of growers and industry partners, to gain their views on the current state and future prospectus of the WA Stonefruit Industry.

All this information enabled John to develop the draft of a new WA Stonefruit Strategic Plan, which was presented to the committee and forwarded to all growers to evaluate.

I envisage that the structural plan should be completed by the end of 2024 and ready to be enacted for the 2025–26 budget year.
